Typical Day on Summer Staff

Thank you for your interest in a Tilikum summer staff position. We are excited about another summer of ministry with kids and youth in our wonderful "outdoor playground."  Tilikum is looking for 30 amazing individuals to serve on the 2012 summer staff.  A summer at Tilikum offers you an incredible opportunity and experience that will push you to grow in community, Christian living, and service. 

Below is a brief explanation of our programs. For more information about each camp, visit our summer camps page or click below.

Day Camp is for children entering grades 1-6. Each week, up to 230 children have the opportunity to enjoy activities like canoeing, nature hikes, the Big Swing, Bible stories, singing, crafts and more!

QUEST is for youth in grades 6-8. In this five day program, they get to build on things learned in Day Camp and stretch themselves through new Challenge Course activities.

High Adventure Camp is for youth in grades 8-12. In this 4 day, 3 night program, individuals and youth groups grow in relationships and deepen their faith through facilitated activities on the Challenge Course and other activities.

Application Process

The application process is easy!   Choose from one of the two application options below, fill it out and mail it back to us.  Reference forms should also be sent out and returned promptly (these can be printed when you fill out the online application). Interviews begin in January and continue through early March. After we review your application, we may contact you for an interview.

Summer Staff Employment Dates	May 29th - August 18th
Lifeguard Training	May 25th - May 28th
Applications Due	February 29th
Applicants notified of hire/no hire	March 9th

Pay/Benefits 2012

We provide lifeguard, CPR, first aid, and program training.  Summer staff are housed at George Fox University
First Year Staff	$2,300
Returning Staff	$2,500
