The Oregon Writing Project Collaborative supports excellence in the teaching of writing at all educational levels and subjects through collaboration, education, and community involvement. As a National Writing Project site, we are dedicated to improving the teaching of writing and use of writing to learn in our community's schools. Through a professional development model, the OWP Collaborative aims to build the leadership, programs, and research needed for teachers to help their students become successful writers and learners. We're proud of the more than two decades of work completed at the Willamette University site and look forward to continuing quality programming with our new partners at George Fox University. Our Summer Institute, Continuity Programs, and Young Writers' Camp will continue to take place in Salem, even as we establish partnerships with districts in and around Newberg.

This will be an opportunity to look closely at your own writing and students' writing, to explore issues and ideas in the teaching of literacy, to study writing in a digital age, and to discuss what it means to become a teacher leader, all through the sharing of classroom practices and activities.
