Scholarship as evidenced in the ongoing development of personal research agenda (see publications, presentations and grants section) and the facilitation of student scholarship as a Research Vertical Team Leader, supervising student dissertation research including,·

Teaching/Mentoring, including graduate courses and mentoring students in the development of clinical skills. Courses currently taught: Human Development, Couple & Family Therapy, Child & Adolescent Psychopathology, and Health Psychology. Cumulative average from teaching evaluations 4.7/5.0 scale.

-Improved efficiency and clarified expectations by creating FoxTALE site and moving all clinical training forms and evaluations online (12/06).
-Following student concerns about Didactics surveyed graduate students and implemented significant changes in didactics content (6/07).
-Worked with DCT/Dept Chair to establish practicum training objectives including the development of sites with training focus; added 4 sites with current APA internships, eliminated 4 other sites. Developed new practicum site in --Providence Primary Care Medical Group. (9/07-9/08).
-Assumed responsibility for the communication and coordination of the consultation contract with Providence Hospital, including the development of pain care mgmt program (1/05-ongoing)
-Developed competency training guide and CD for practicum site supervisors. Have currently facilitated the training of 50% of supervisors and will monitor results in semester evaluations (7/08-ongoing).

Clinical Coordinator for Inpatient, Partial Hospitalization, Residential Treatment Center Programs, in-patient consults for patients on general medical floors, participation in Level II Trauma Team. Achievements include the development of curriculum, structured milieu, supervision of clinical therapy staff (8 masters’ level therapists, 2 psychologists) and initiation of therapeutic groups in local school district. Responsibilities also include community and residential evaluations for Office of Juvenile Services, psychiatric consult and support for medical staff, substance abuse evaluations, limited out-patient practice and supervision of Employee Assistance Program.

Clinical services in brief therapy provided for individuals, couples and families. Sub-specialization in assessment, diagnosis and treatment of children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Initiated a peer-led, support group for persons bi-polar and depressive disorders.

Full-time psychology internship within a multi-disciplinary hospital treatment program for seriously mentally ill patients. Direct supervision by Chief Psychologist and Medical Director for behaviorally-based psychiatric treatment program. Responsibilities included, initial psychodiagnostic assessment, psychological testing, group and individual therapy.
