Stuck?

Elisa Morgan

Most of us experience “stuck” seasons where, for a number of reasons, we can’t move. Not forward. Not even backward. We want to make a difference with our lives, but like a turtle on its back, we squirm and wrestle, making little progress. Why? And what can we do?

10:30 – 10:45 a.m.

Coffee Break

10:45 – 11:45 a.m.

She Did What She Could

Elisa Morgan

We all care. Yet we wonder – really – what difference we can make. Based on Mary of Bethany who anointed Jesus’ feet with expensive perfume in Mark 14, this session provides a realistic response to the seemingly “unmeetable” needs around us – from the very spot where we live today. We can get unstuck when we grasp and apply this concept in our everyday lives.

11:45– 12:45 p.m.

Lunch

12:45 – 1:35 p.m.

Breakout Session I

1:45 – 2:35 p.m.

Breakout Session II

2:45 – 3 p.m.

Break

3 – 3:15 p.m.

Worship

3:15 – 4:15 p.m.

She Said “Yes!”

Elisa Morgan

Getting unstuck often requires saying a first “yes” to God, and then gradually, many more nods follow. Looking at the life of Mary, the mother of Jesus, we’ll discover how to thread together small investments to form a lifetime of influence.

This year at Selah, attendees will have the opportunity to help women and children in Africa to get “unstuck” from the poverty and disease that is part of their everyday lives. Two great organizations will be represented at the conference. Come ready to give your voice in advocacy, support a child, or purchase items made by women in Rwanda.

Africa New Life Ministries works in Rwanda to break the cycle of poverty by providing education for impoverished children and vulnerable women. Each year more than 70 women receive vocational training in tailoring and are able to lift their families from the ashes of poverty. With only 20 percent of children graduating from high school, education is the key to improving Rwanda’s future. Through Africa New Life, more than 3,600 sponsored children have returned to the classroom and are on their way to transforming the nation of Rwanda! Visit africanewlife.org.
