Doctor of Ministry Degree Application Process

Applying to the doctor of ministry program at George Fox University requires several crucial steps.

Follow the process as outlined below to apply.

Steps to Apply

  1. Compare the degree tracks based on ministry goals:
  2. Make sure you are able to meet the program admission requirements:
  3. Apply by June 1 (LEC and LSF).
  4. Optional: Apply for federal student aid by completing the "Free Application for Federal Student Aid" (FAFSA) form.
  5. Optional: Apply for church matching grants up to $600. If you wish to apply, complete the church matching form.
  6. Complete an entrance interview with the department director in person or via telephone.
    • Note: the interview requires completed admission file (ie. steps 1-4 need to be complete); admissions will notify you when your file is complete.
    • Sheila Bartlett will contact you and set up a time for you to complete a phone interview with the Administrative Assistant for the DMin Program, Dee Small.
  7. Once you have been accepted into the program:
    • You will receive an official letter of acceptance.
    • A new "Bruinmail" university e-mail account will be created for you. Access information will be sent to the e-mail address you submitted in the application process.
    • You will be given access to "Bruindata," an online student-services tool that allows you to register for courses, update your personal information, etc. Access information will be sent to the e-mail address you submitted in the application process.
  8. Upon acceptance into the program, remit the tuition deposit of $200.

    • This is very important! You cannot register for any courses or gain access into the online FoxTALE module 01 site until the university has received the tuition deposit.
    • Send the tuition deposit to the following address by July 15 (LEC and LSF):
    • OR: You may pay the tuition deposit online.
      • If you choose to pay in this manner, note the following details:
        • There is a 2.5% nonrefundable web services and handling fee to use this option.
        • It may take 2-3 days to be fully processed.
        • Your ID is listed as the "University ID" on your bruindata homepage.
        • The amount that you are to pay is $200.
        • Be sure to apply this payment to the "Fall Tuition".

Once you have completed the application process, you may begin to prepare for module 01.
