Thank you for considering George Fox University for your graduate education. International students are an important part of the George Fox community and make a vital contribution to the learning process.

Requirements

To facilitate the admission process for international applicants we have established the following requirements:

  1. International students need a VISA. 
  2. All academic transcripts from institutions outside the United States must be evaluated. An evaluation may be obtained from one of the following institutions. Please note that a "comprehensive" or "course-by-course" report is required.

  3. Submit a current Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score, if English is a second language for the applicant. When registering for the TOEFL, please use our institutional code 4325. To receive TOEFL information, please contact: TOEFL Publications

    • A score of 213 (computer based) or 550 (paper based) is required for admission consideration.
  4. It may be helpful for you to know that George Fox University graduate classes are conducted in a professional office setting near the city of Tigard (eight miles from Portland and 17 miles from the George Fox Newberg campus.)  There is no housing within walking distance of the George Fox University Portland Center, so most international students need to arrange for transportation while attending graduate studies at the university
