Please complete this assignment before arriving at the advance.

- Purchase and install a wireless card for your laptop, if you do not already have an internal wireless card.
- You have two options:
- Bring your laptop to the orientation advance with EndNote loaded on it and a wireless card installed. We will begin using the software immediately Tuesday and wireless connectivity will be available.
- If you do not have a laptop, there are two options:
- Borrow one, load EndNote onto it, install a wireless card and bring it with you to the orientation advance.
- If this cannot be done, contact Dee Small to explore possible alternatives.
- If you do not have a laptop, there are two options:
- Write a first draft of the description for your project. Include the following elements:
- Format:
-
- Use MS Word
- Title page with the following information:
- Student Name
- Course: DMIN 513
- Length: 2 paragrahs
-
- Paragraph 1: In this description, state what you would like to specialize in for your project.
- Paragraph 2: State why you are choosing this area of specialization for your project. The why could include such issues as ‘Why this is important to you personally’ and ‘Why this topic is important in terms of leadership and/or emerging culture issues.’
- Note: Do not think of this as a final project topic yet, and certainly not a thesis statement. Rather, understand it to be no more than a general statement of the area in which you hope to specialize for your project.
- Content:
- Bring four copies of this description (along with your electronic original on your computer) to the DMIN 513 class at the orientation advance.
