Catalog Description
The process of research and writing in preparing the Doctor of Ministry project.
Course Objectives
As a result of this course students will:
- Establish a concrete plan and schedule for writing the project, including accountability parameters
- Make decisions about the audience and voice of the work
- Experience editing of written work
- Complete a final draft of the expanded abstract of the project
Methods
- In-class lectures on breaking the big project into manageable parts, tips for writing and tips for editing
- In-class discussion of the writing process
- Peer evaluation groups
- In-class editing lab
- Individual work on writing plan
