Apply to Be a Serve Site

In the past 17 years, nearly 24,000 members of the George Fox community have volunteered thousands of service hours, doing everything from spreading bark chips and clearing blackberry brambles to washing wheelchairs and visiting senior citizens. If you are interested in having Serve Day teams help at your site, please fill out and submit an online Serve Site Application.

This year, Serve Day will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017

Project Request Form

Project Request Forms are now open, and are due by July 12. The Serve Day Committee will respond to all requests in late July.

How Our Teams Could Serve You: We send teams ranging from five to 120 (depending on project request) motivated students, staff, and faculty eager to serve organizations through a variety of skills, tasks and projects. In the past, our teams have assisted sites with landscaping, basic construction, administrative tasks, and offering artistic, business, and other special skills.

Schedule: Serve teams leave George Fox's Newberg campus around 8:50 a.m. and should return to campus by 4 p.m.

Meals and Water: Our Serve teams eat breakfast before they leave and bring packed lunches to eat at the serve site. We ask that serve sites assist in keeping our teams hydrated by providing water throughout the day.

Transportation: We have found it helpful when serve sites can assist with transportation, although our faculty and staff often assist with this as well.

We look forward to working with you and hope that Serve Day will be a blessing to everyone involved.
