EDFL Distinctives

Excellent Faculty

The first requirement of all members of the Graduate Department of Educational Foundations and Leadership faculty is that they are supportive of the Christian mission of the university. In addition, they all have both academic and professional expertise in their specific areas. You will study with scholar-practitioners who are devoted to your professional, intellectual, and spiritual growth.

Flexible Classes, Multiple Locations

Flexible schedules make the most of your time, with summer programs, online classes, and evening and Saturday courses. Classes offered in Newberg, Portland, Salem, and Redmond. Please note that not all programs are offered at every site or in every format.

Practical Internships

If you are adding an endorsement to your existing teaching license or obtaining an administrative license in Oregon, you’ll be completing an internship to help you practice the skills and knowledge you’ve gained from classes in real-life situations under the supervision of a qualified and experienced faculty member and a school-based mentor.

Licensure

All teaching and administrative licenses offered by the EDFL Department are approved by the Oregon Teachers Standards and Practices
