Bruce Strom

Associate Professor of Organizational Leadership
Bruce is an Indiana native, and son of a Protestant minister. A ten year United States Navy veteran, he served aboard two aircraft carriers and a supply ship. Bruce has been employed in consulting, project management, and administrative/management roles in for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. He was an assistant professor of business at the University of Indianapolis, and an associate professor of management at the Park University Ft. Bliss, TX campus. Bruce has also been an adjunct and involved in online education for many institutions of higher education. He came to George Fox University in 2007.
Bruce earned a bachelors degree in general studies from Indiana University, a masters degree in adult education from Ball State University, an advanced certificate in human resource development from the University of Illinois at Urbana, and a Ph.D. in administrative science (management concentration) from the Universidad Empresarial in San Jose, Costa Rica. He is a registered organization development practitioner (OD Institute), NxLeveL Entrepreneurship Program certified instructor, and has worked with small business development centers and regional, state, and local economic and workforce development initiatives.
Bruce's academic areas are leadership, management, project and quality management, business ethics, evaluation, grant writing, human resources, organization development, and small business development.
Bruce and his wife Laurie (GFU '85) have a Russian Blue cat named Thor. They reside in Boise, Idaho.
