In 2015, the Department of Biology and Chemistry acquired a $180,000 state-of-the-art confocal microscope, allowing George Fox faculty and students to perform cutting-edge research. The confocal microscope in the Edwards-Holman Science Center represents a type of microscopy that leverages laser physics to provide high-resolution data to uncover the relationships of molecules within a sample.
