77th annual Oregon Academy of Science Conference

Hosted at George Fox University
Saturday, March 3, 2018

The Department of Biology is pleased to be a key organizer of the 2018 Annual Meeting of the Oregon Academy of Science (OAS) on Saturday, March 3, on the George Fox University Newberg campus.

Undergraduate and graduate students, postdocs and faculty are encouraged to submit abstracts and attend the conference. The deadline for abstract submission will be posted at a later date. All presenters must be members of the Oregon Academy of Science. The meeting registration fee includes membership dues for OAS, so it’s easy to simultaneously submit an abstract and become a member. We welcome the participation of all continuing and prospective OAS members in the meeting, so please register and join OAS today!

This is a one-day annual meeting for researchers, educators and students statewide to exchange ideas, present current research, and to strengthen professional and personal relationships. Students can hone their presentation skills by describing their research, meet peers from institutions across Oregon and build their professional network.

The OAS also grants three awards at its annual meeting: the Oregon Outstanding Scientist Award, the Outstanding Teacher in Science and Mathematics Award in higher education, and the Outstanding Teacher in Science and Mathematics Award for K-12.

Oregon Academy of Science Newsletter - October 2017 - contains more information on the conference.
