*Meet the Engineers

Join us for a different kind of career fair …

Please be our guest at the George Fox University College of Engineering “Meet the Engineers” event, where we turn the tables on the normal career fair. In this case, the upper-level engineering students present themselves during an informal networking reception lunch with a portfolio and resume, as prospective employers walk among and talk with students about their particular interests and talents. With no booths to prepare and a buffet-style lunch provided, we hope that you and your company will find the event a convenient way to meet some highly talented students.

It’s not your typical career fair, but then again George Fox University is not where you will find your typical engineer. We truly feel that we are doing something special here, preparing the young, exploring minds who attend George Fox for exceptional life outcomes. We invite you to come and see for yourself. We strongly believe that an engineering education is about rolling up your sleeves on projects, getting your hands dirty and wrapping your mind around ideas that have the potential to change our world.

What You’ll See

We anticipate about 100 promising mechanical, electrical, civil and computer engineering students as well as computer science majors will be participating. Students interested in full-time employment and internships represent themselves with a portfolio of their work and a resumé. Each comes prepared for a handshake and (hopefully) a compelling story to match your company’s needs. Student resumés and portfolios will be posted online by Wednesday, Dec. 4, on the Career Services webpage for your advance preview. Employers walk among the crowd enjoying a bite to eat and networking with students at their own pace.

How to Participate

Employers: Register using our online employer registration form. Please respond by Wednesday, Dec. 11.

Students: Go to the Career Services link within MyGFU for instructions on submitting an online resume.
