Adjunct Professor of Theatre
Thomas Magee teaches Introduction to Improvisational Theatre. He began his formal training in improv with ComedySportz Los Angeles and continued upon returning to Portland, where he began performing with ComedySportz Portland. Thomas was a member of the long-form improv group Your Other Left and a founding member of Sideburns, a historical documentary-based comedy long-form group.
He has continued to do scripted theatre in the Portland area as well, with both the Lumiere Players and in independent productions. Thomas loves improvisational performance and believes the key to being great at improv is living fully in each moment and in the many possibilities that moment presents, with others, in a constant state of gratitude. And it helps if you are a little bit unbalanced and embrace this characteristic in others.
