Professor of Design, Master of Art, Certified Interior Designer, Mom, Mrs.
What do you do at Fox?
I teach in the Department of Art and Design covering some of the design core courses and upper-level interior courses.
When did you start working at Fox?
MA, Organizational Leadership in Business, Woodbury University 2007; Certification of Interior Design, California 1993; BS, Home Economics Education, 1983; owned and operated my own interior design business, 1987 to present
What is something you’d like to do in the future?
One recent summer I was able to serve a missionary couple by providing design services for their three-level converted barn that will be used to house marginalized women. I hope to do a lot more of these types of projects in the future.
What is something you’re grateful for, appreciate, encouraged by, or excited about?
That God is a mystery of never-ending love. I’m still in love with my husband, proud of our two daughters and have friends that are family to celebrate life with.
I like the quote by Sir Winston Churchill: “We shape our buildings, thereafter they shape us." I believe creatively designed spaces improve lives, which changes communities and betters societies.
What kind of art do you do?
I create spaces.
