What do you do at Fox?
I work with drawing, painting, and creative processes. As a teacher I am very interested in the interplay between solid foundational skills, clarity of visual language and the emerging artist’s unique creative voice.

Fall of 2016

Education/ Experience:
Studio Arts, Gage Academy of Art, Studio Arts,
BA Linfield College,Arts and Humanities, Summa Cum Laude
MFA, PNCA, Collaborative Design

What is something you'd like to do in the future?
Have amazing adventures in beautiful places with my family, make more art, and learn to surf!

What is something you're grateful for, appreciate, encouraged by, or excited about?
I am deeply grateful for the community I am part of -- and coffee.

Personal notes:
I believe in the both/and, in the creative 3rd way. I believe failure can be generative if you face it with courage and humility. I know a well timed joke and a smile can make all the difference.

What kind of art do you do?
I draw, paint, sculpt and facilitate conversations. I love participating in the creative process, whether as an artist in my studio or with a group of people exploring new territory together. I am very interested in the role these creative practices can play in nurturing the quality of conversations in a community.
