Adam McGuffie joins the Department of Professional studies after spending more than five years in pastoral leadership and four years in instructional technology and design. He brings knowledge and experience of instructional and web design, photography, and nonprofit leadership to his role at the university.

Adam enjoys taking on independent freelance web design, photography, brand development, and education consulting work. In addition to serving in the Doctor of Ministry and adult degree programs at George Fox, he develops websites and brands for nonprofits and shoots wedding, event and portrait photography.

Adam holds a bachelor’s degree in music from the University of Valley Forge, a master’s degree from George Fox University, and a professional certificate in e-learning instructional design and development from Oregon State University. He will complete a Master of Divinity from George Fox University in the summer of 2018.

Adam is a husband and a father of a growing family. On the weekends, you can find him working on his Saab, traveling with his family, having people over for dinner, and exploring innovative ways of building local communities with art, education and the internet.
