Recreation Minor

Recreation is one of many minors available at George Fox, a top Christian college

If you desire to work in the fields of physical education, camp management, camp programming and/or counseling or outdoor guiding, George Fox offers a recreation minor to supplement your major of choice.

The 18-credit-hour course of study gives you instruction in aquatics, the history and principles of physical education, camp programming and counseling, experiential recreational leadership, camp administration, first aid and safety, and stress management.

In addition, you have the option of adding classes in backbacking, canoeing, ballroom dancing, survival techniques, and skiing/snowboarding.
