Family Weekend 2023

Save the date! You and your family are invited to be a part of Family Weekend! 

Join us on campus Oct. 27-29 for a weekend filled with some exciting events, including Family Game Night, music performances, athletics home games, and visits to local activities. Choose your own adventure and enjoy the time reconnecting with your student and letting them show you around town! It will be a fun-filled weekend your whole family can share.

Bruin Preview

This is a great opportunity for high school-aged siblings of our current students to join you for the weekend and explore how to make George Fox their own! Prospective students can meet professors, coaches and current students; attend classes that look interesting to them; and learn about our majors. Prospective students may spend the night with their sibling of the same gender.

Parent Prayer

Take a moment to gather together for a time of parent prayer while students are finishing classes.

Fox Family Book Club Final Discussion

We will have a chance to meet in person for our final book club! Come to discuss how things are going and have some conversation about what to expect as students begin to prepare for their sophomore year.

Megan Fisher, director of Parent and Family Programs, will be leading our discussion, and she will be joined by Logan Walton, director of the Career and Academic Planning Center. This is a good opportunity to connect even if you have not participated in our monthly book club!

FAFSA Open House

Do you have questions regarding your FAFSA? There are some significant changes coming to the FAFSA this year. The upcoming holidays are a great time to sit down with your student and fill out your 2024-25 FASFA. Character Matters Lecture

Join President Baker, professor Dr. Travis Pickell, and esteemed faculty to explore the character initiatives we are intentionally weaving into the curriculum this year. You won't want to miss this presentation! 

At George Fox, we want students to:

  • Learn how to live a meaningful life because of what they learn about the character and truth of Christ in each discipline
  • Understand what it means to be a Christian in today's world as they engage with every topic from civics to science to art to math, and

Does your living space have what it takes to be the smartest crew at George Fox? After the game, enjoy getting to hang out with snacks, board games, and enjoy some relaxing time together before heading out on your next adventure.
