Librarianship is a creative, ever-changing field that brings order to information, removes barriers to access, and connects patrons to needed resources.

What do you do at Fox?

I am a research & instruction librarian. I partner with faculty and students both to support faculty in their teaching and research, and to build students’ confidence and ability in research practices. Helping students and faculty meaningfully connect to the scholarship of their field is an essential component of my job. My liaison programs include the undergraduate programs of biology, biochemistry, exercise science, and nursing. My graduate programs include clinical psychology, physician assistant, physical therapy, and social work.

Education and Experience

Expertise and Research Interests

My research interests reflect my holistic view of the library and its role in student success. I am keenly interested in research consultations, trauma informed practices and hospitality, collection development, consortia partnerships, information literacy of graduate students in behavioral and allied health programs, and what it means to be a Christian librarian.

What is your favorite part of the library?

In the course of my life, librarians have acted as guides along my academic journey, sparking my intellectual curiosity and pointing me towards the next question to ask and the next right step. I love being one of many librarians who comes alongside students and faculty to help them discern their next steps, and discover the information available. The practice of librarianship is my favorite part of the library.

Beyond the Library

I travel – whether it is near or far – any chance I get, and I often combine travel with visits with dear family and friends. When I travel, I try to visit the local shops and spend time in the outdoors.  I also enjoy the arts, reading, and learning new things.
