Borrow, Renew, Request

The fastest way to get a book or DVD is via the "Get It" section of the item's record in Primo:

1) Borrow From Fox

Items that can be checked out from George Fox Libraries have a green bullet point and "Available" in their Primo record:

Use the call number to locate the book on the shelf, then bring it and your GFU ID card to the front desk.

Distance students can select the "Request" link to have the item delivered via mail.

2) Request From Outside Libraries

Items not available for checkout from George Fox can very likely be requested from outside libraries.  There are two systems in place to manage sharing of items between libraries:

  • Summit: Academic libraries in the Pacific Northwest; get materials in 1-3 business days
  • Interlibrary Loan: All other libraries in the continental United States; get materials within two weeks
