Northern Ireland Semester

Program Overview Ireland
In conjunction with the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities, George Fox students can participate in the Northern Ireland Semester in Belfast, Ireland. Students will be able to experience the religious and political conflict that has been an important part of Northern Ireland's history.  In addiction to their students students will be able to travel around the Irish isle to visit important cultural and historical landmarks, pray in ancient cathedrals, and hike among green pastures and ancient forests

Course Content
Students are required to take the course, Peacemaking and Reconciliation in Northern Ireland and can then choose 3 - 4 other courses which include Art, Literature, Intercultural Communication, and History.

Application
The student will fill out two applications:
• George Fox off-campus application

The Northern Ireland application should only be completed after being informed from the George Fox Director of Study Abroad that you are accepted for an off-campus study semester.

• Northern Ireland application

Housing
Students may be housed in Lakeside manor, a charming 19th-century mansion in Belfast.
