Scotland Image

Program Overview
This program is offered in collaboration with Veritas Christian Study Abroad.  Students can choose between programs in either Glasgow, or Stirling studying at either the University of Glasgow or the University of Stirling.  Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland and is well-known for its stunning architecture and history.  Stirling is one of Scotland's most historic cities, where many major battles took place during the fight for independence.  Stirling is the "Gateway to the Highlands" and is only 45 minutes by train from Glasgow.

Courses
Students are required to take Global Missions Perspectives, taught by a Veritas professor and an Iinternational Missions/Service-Learning Practicum, a local Veritas Mission Mentor.  The remainder of the courses will be taken at one of the two Universities.  Both universities offer a large range of humanities and science courses.

Excursions
The program includes a variety of opportunities for travel including (but not limited to) Edinburgh, Highlands and Loch Ness, and Stirling Castle.

Application
The student will fill out two applications:
• George Fox off-campus application form

The Veritas Christian Study Abroad application should only be completed after being informed from the George Fox Director of Study Abroad that you are accepted for an off-campus study semester.

• Veritas Christian Study Abroad application (An application fee must accompany your application)

Housing
Students will live, with other international and local students in single and sometimes double bedrooms in campus accommodations. These dorms are about a 10-minute walk from the main campus.
