Finance Assistant

Vice President of Finance's Committee

The Assistant of Finance is responsible for maintaining a live budget, reviewing, scanning, and logging various financial forms, as well as in other administrative tasks including human resources. They will serve at a director position and will be part of the Finance Committee within ASC. They are responsible for 10 office hours per week. They are required to be an Accounting or Finance Major and must be able and willing to commit to ASC as a whole.


This person must be comfortable working with numbers, be very detailed, self-motivated, reliable, flexible and responsible. It’s recommended this person be an Accounting/Finance Major or have directly related business coursework/experience.

Applicants must be full-time students ( minimum of 12 credit hours ) in good academic standing with George Fox University for the duration of the time they hold their position.


— Be in the office to assist the VP of Finance with current budgeting needs

— Assist with Check Requests and Reimbursements

— Assist with I-9 and W-4 tax forms

— Gather ASC names and information to prepare for payroll with HR

— Assist in doing deposits for ASC

— File ASC documents as needed

— Attend leadership forums as required by Central Committee

— Attend In-Service days prior to the first day of class of fall semester

— Abide by all GFU community lifestyle standards as outlined in the Student Handbook

Time Commitment:

7-10 hours weekly ( approximately, including minimum office hours )
