Accessible Furniture

Some students may need accessible furniture (desks, chairs, tables, footstools, etc) in certain classrooms on campus. 

  • Students must submit an application for accommodations through Disability and Accessibility Services (DAS), including documentation or evidence that addresses the need for accessible furniture. 
  • Once students are approved for accommodations, they must request those accommodations each semester for each class desired. This should be done as early as possible but no later than a week before the first class meeting. DAS will make every effort to accommodate late requests, but it may not be possible for the furniture to be in place by the first class meeting. 
  • If there are any problems with the furniture (the furniture is missing from the room, is constantly being moved, etc.), the student is responsible to notify DAS immediately at das@georgefox.edu to address the issue.
