Reminisce With Old Photos
The George Fox University Archives acts as a resource to preserve the history of the University through documents, photos, and records. Additionally, the department functions as the official archive center for Northwest Yearly Meeting. The National HIstorical Publications and Records Commission (NHPRC) has supplied a grant to archives to allow a digital componant to the collection. That information is visible at http://nwda.orbiscascade.org/.
Photographs from the past make up a large portion of the archive collection. It is important that these images are able to appropriately provide information. Therefore, the archivists work to supplement the photographs with information regarding the identities of the individuals in the image, dates, events, and stories. Below are some of the images which have been digitally preserved. If you have any information to share about an image, or wish to visit the archives please contact our archivist, Zoie Clark, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
