Steps to create or identify a persistent link when an article does have a DOI

1.    Locate the article in the database
2.    In the article citation information locate the DOI (Digital Object Locator) number
3.    Copy the DOI and format as shown

Example:
DOI: 10.1017/S0007114508116269
Add:http://0-dx.doi.org.catalog.georgefox.edu/
Result:
http://0-dx.doi.org.catalog.georgefox.edu/10.1017/S0007114508116269

1.    Locate the article abstract in the database by clicking on the title of the article or the abstract link
2.    At the bottom of the abstract, locate the link entitled “Link to this Abstract”
3.    Click on “Link to this Abstract” and copy the given url or persistent link
