Vocation Through the Lens of Creation Care

Two events will headline this years forum with special guests Luke Gascho, executive director of the Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center at Goshen College; Rev. Alexia Salvatierra, author, consultant and lecturer; in addition to our own faculty who specialize in the area of creation care.  Faculty, staff and students who have an interest in engaging with others in the community of creation care at George Fox are encouraged to participate!  For information and details on forum events, please visit the Global Issues Forum webpage.

Romania and Moldova

Summer Serve 2013

George Fox University is sending a team of students and faculty on a
Summer Serve trip to Romania and Moldova to partner with Word Made
Flesh and David and Lenuta Chronic. The trip will be co-led by Center for
Peace and Justice director Clint Baldwin and university pastor,
Sarah Baldwin.

The team will work alongside Fall 2010 Missional Practitioners In-Residence
David and Lenuta Chronic


September 29

Ninth annual Peace Fair/Walk hosted by the Yamhill County Interfaith Advocates for Peace with Justice

The George Fox Center for Peace and Justice will participate in the annual walk and fair at McMinnville Cooperative Ministries.

This year's speaker will be Leah Bolger, an Oregonian peace activist and past president of Veterans for Peace.   

This event is hosted by the Interfaith Advocates for Peace with Justice.

Interfaith and Community Service Challenge

George Fox joins the President's Interfaith and Community Service Campus Challenge
Facilitated by the Office of Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships

The Center for Peace and Justice/Center for Global Studies director Clint Baldwin wrote a proposal that was accepted by the campus challenge project. He and Joel Perez, Dean of Transitions and Inclusion, traveled to the initiative's national kick-off event Aug. 1-2, 2011, at the White House. This initiative is encouraging institutions of higher education to make the vision for interfaith cooperation and community service a reality on campuses across the country.
