Favorite Memory Here at Fox
It is almost impossible to come up with only one. However, I thoroughly enjoyed leading a group of 18 students to China on a Juniors Abroad trip. Spending concentrated time together experiencing another culture was a rich experience for all of us! I also love leading a Life Group every year to connect with students on a more personal level.
Favorite place to hang out in Portland/Newberg
I'm happy in most bookstores, and also enjoy spending time anywhere with family and friends. The Newberg Bakery and Coffee Cottage are great local options for good food and conversation!
Family & Pets
I'm married to a wonderful woman named Pam who is a writer/author/speaker and adjunct faculty member at George Fox. We are blessed to have three terrific daughters (Gabrielle, Annalise, and Michaela). We also have two dogs (Calli and Shasta), and a cat named Sally.
Hobbies or other interesting facts
I love Tolkien and the Lord of the Rings movies. I'm also an avid Denver Broncos fan. Other hobbies and interests include tennis, reading, Bible study, football and theology. Learning about other cultures and perspectives is also an important part of my journey.
Typical Coffee Cottage drink you order
I don't drink coffee, a fact greatly lamented by my wife! However, I do enjoy an occasional vanilla steamer!
Favorite Scripture Verses
"Now when David had served God's purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep" (Acts 13:36a) and "As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God." (Psalm 42:1)
