Care for Your Career Like You Care for Your Patients

George Fox University’s RN to BSN degree-completion program is designed for registered nurses who wish to enhance their resumes, further their education and advance their careers as leaders in the profession. The part-time program combines personal face-to-face monthly seminars with online learning.

According to a 2016 American Association of Critical-Care Nurses survey, 54 percent of hospitals and other healthcare settings are requiring new hires to have a bachelor’s degree in nursing (up 6 percentage points since 2015), while 98 percent of employers are expressing a strong preference for BSN program graduates. The survey incorporated completed responses from 576 schools of nursing.

More About the RN to BSN Program

Our program consists of 24 credits taken in four semesters (16 months). Classes include a face-to-face seminar one Saturday every month with all other coursework completed online, offering greater personal connection and flexibility for working RNs. Course projects are designed for application within your clinical practice, and credit for prior learning is awarded for your experience as a registered nurse. Accredited by the Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), our program is recognized by employers and graduate nursing programs nationally.

Promising Employment Outlook

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that employment for registered nurses will grow twice as fast as the national average for other occupations from 2016 to 2026. According to the Nursing Health Workforce Model developed by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), the demand for active RNs in Oregon will increase by approximately 1.9 percent each year between 2015 and 2025.
