Zachary Gruginski

Name: Zachary Gruginski

High School: Tualatin High School (Tualatin, Oregon)

Sport(s): Golf

Height / Weight: 5-9, 186

High School Highlights:
Earned first-team all-league honors in 2017 (Class 2A Evergreen Conference) and was an All-Academic Award winner with a 3.5-plus GPA in 2014, 2015 and 2017; was a four-year letterman and a four-time match medalist over his high school career; posted a 42.4 nine-hole scoring average as a senior

Why I chose George Fox:
I chose George Fox because the students and faculty were very welcoming, I also felt that I could receive a great education from George Fox and also have the chance to pursue golf at the collegiate level with Coach Thompson's successful program.

Dante Heitschmidt

Name: Dante Heitschmidt

High School: Prairie High School (Vancouver, Washington)

Height / Weight: 6-3, 175

High School Highlights:
Earned Player of the Year honors and was third in his district tournament in 2017; earned first-team all-league honors (Greater St. Helens League) and second place in the bi-district tournament in 2016, when he also qualified for state; was a second-team all-league player in 2015; helped team win league titles three straight years and win district in 2016; medalist in seven matches as a senior

Why I chose George Fox:
I wanted to pursue an engineering degree while playing golf at the collegiate level. I love the size of the school and it seems like the perfect fit for me.

Kory Hunn

Name: Kory Hunn

High School: Saddleback Valley Christian High School (San Juan Capistrano, California)

Sport(s): Golf

Position(s): Outside hitter and defensive specialist

Height / Weight: 6-0, 138

High School Highlights:
Participated in California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section (CIF-SS) competition three out of the four years of his high school career; was a team captain three of his four seasons; as a senior he served as an assistant coach for the team’s freshmen; became a captain his first year of high school and won third place out of 150 players at Lake Elsinore event

Why I chose George Fox:
When I visited Coach Thompson back in October 2017, he explained the men's golf program very thoroughly. I was very intrigued, and he convinced me to want to play for this school. I am very excited that I have made such a big decision to be a part of the George Fox family.
