Staff Conferences

Two half-day conferences will be held this year

Fall 2018

  • Thursday, November 1, 2018
  • Time: 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • Location: Bauman Auditorium, Newberg Campus
  • Guest Speakers: Polly Peterson & Melanie Mock
  • Lunch is provided in Canyon Commons 101-103 from 12-1pm.
  • Topic:  This engaging and inspiring seminar will explore ways our expectations can oftentimes convey unintended messages about unworthiness, projecting predetermined outcomes on colleagues (and students) without allowing them to flourish and become exactly who God has created them to be.  We will explore ways our community establishes expectations for who people are supposed to be; how problematic these expectations can be; and how we can celebrate each person's unique worth as an image-bearer of God, no matter what, affirming that we are each fearfully and wonderfully made.  Our prayer is that you come away refreshed and energized with some new insights of how to bring out the best in all your interactions.

Spring 2018

  • Thursday, March 7, 2019

  • Location: Portland Campus
  • Workshop Options on a variety of topics based on your suggestions from last year's conference.
  • Continental Breakfast provided. Lunch on your own.
