Expertise and Experience

Greetings! I’m the coordinator of Friends Leadership Training for the Northwest Yearly Meeting of Friends (Quaker) Churches, which includes my role as the Friends Center director at the Portland Seminary. My passions lie in the intersection of socially restorative initiatives, education, and the details of administrative tasks.

I live in Newberg with my husband and our Labradoodle. When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time on house projects, maintaining relationships across the globe, being involved in my local community, and hanging out with my husband, dog and friends.

What is the Friends Center?

The Friends Center is a friendly, informal environment where students and faculty can meet, make connections, find friendship and support, and create initiatives around Friends (Quaker) values. All are welcome! More specifically, the Friends Center seeks to cultivate, develop and connect relationships between Portland Seminary (students, faculty, and staff) and the Northwest Yearly Meeting of Friends Churches (NWYM).

How Might the Friends Center Help You?

As a representative of the Friends churches, ministries and partnering organizations in the Northwest, I’m here to offer support in your studies. From a sit-down lunch or coffee/tea chat to arranging field education/internship experiences for Friends seminary students.

Office Hours

My office is room 276 inside the Portland Center of George Fox University, where I will be every second and fourth Monday of the month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feel free to contact me if you’d like to meet me any other times.
