TABLES/SAMPLES:
There will be dozens of tables set up where you can meet farmers, chefs, neighbors, homemakers. Meet chicken 'herders,' worm 'herders,' and preservers. Meet those with passion about food, knowledge about food, and experience with food. And yes … there will be samples so you can 'meet' your food.Tables located next to the amphitheater will be open for browsing beginning at 4:30 p.m.
-
INSPIRING TALKS FROM EXPERTS:
Come hear short (seven-minute), inspiring, information-filled talks on ways for your love of food to take root: 'taking root in your body' (health), 'taking root in your backyard,' 'taking root in your community,' 'taking root in your buying of food,' 'taking root in your growing food,' and 'taking root in the wild.'Talks will be given at various times at the amphitheater between 5:15 p.m. and 7 p.m.
-
WATCH A CUTTING EDGE FILM:
The documentary "Ingredients" is about the growing local-food movement. This nationally-acclaimed film features many local heroes from our very own Willamette Valley. The film "Food Inc." showed us many of the problems with our food. "Ingredients" will show some hopeful solutions.Film shown outside in amphitheater starting at sunset (about 7 p.m.)
