Class Piano Instructor and Staff Accompanist




George Fox University seeks a Class PIano Instructor and Staff Accompanist for the 2014-15 academic year.

Class Piano -Beginning non-major section

Staff Piano Accompanist (both instrumental and vocal- primarily instrumental)


The accompanist is responsible for accurately recording contact hours monthly (timesheet will be filled out by accompanist and signed by supervisor each month) and determining they do not exceed 380 hours per year (approx. 190 hours per semester).  Prep time is expected. The accompanist will only be reimbursed for contact hours, not for time spent preparing to meet the high expectations of this position.  


Minimum Degree required: Masters Degree in Piano Performance/Accompanying and/or Pedagogy

Collaborative piano experience required.

Proven ability to work with young adults and colleagues


Classes are compensated at $700 per credit hour per semester.  Class Piano is a 2-hour load.

The accompanying salary is for contact hours only.  The hourly rate will be $20-$35 per hour commensurate with degree and experience.
