Description: The Accounting Club strives to meet the needs of all accounting students throughout their time at George Fox University. The club seeks to connect students with tutoring for accoutning classes, while also providing sophomore, junior, and senior level Accounting Majors with opportunities to meet future employers and learn more about their career options.

Acting on AIDS

Description: The purpose of the Acting on Aids club is to create awareness and promote activism in the global Aids pandemic at George Fox University and the surrounding community. We seek to change the hearts of Fox students by creating awareness and advocating for those affected by Aids. We do this through partnering with World Vision, Acting on Aids division to plan events and activities that allow for students to experience similar understandings of those affected by Aids and raise further awareness of the issue. Some activities include creative fundraising, prayer nights, educational seminars, chapel speakers, awareness weeks, documentary showings, etc. By meeting once a week with the current members of the committee, we become educated together of the reasons, possible cures, and current events affecting the Aids pandemic. With an educated basis, a foundation can be established to reach the rest of the campus with an overall truthful understanding.

Pre-Medical Chapter of AMSA

Description: The purpose of the GFU Pre-Medical Chapter of the American Medical Student Association is to encourage Pre-Med students at George Fox University and help connect them with resources that will assist in preparing them for medical school. Included in this is the aim to form relationships with nearby medical communities and provide students with opportunities for greater exposure to the medical field, as well as providing practical information for students to understand the medical school application process, taking the MCATS, etc. Our events have included MCAT study groups, club informational meetings, and movie nights. We are also currently on the waiting list to observe a surgery at Oregon Health Science University and are planning a visit with the admissions team for OHSU's Medical School.
Club Dues/Membership Fee: $30.00/year for American Medical Student Association Membership (not required)
