Professional Experience
2000 to Present: George Fox University, Director of User Services, I.T. Department
I lead a team of seven full-time employees and around 35 part-time student employees in the I.T. Department. I manage a budget over 1 million dollars. I lead several programs promoting technology use in higher education. One very successful program is Computers Across the Curriculum. This program's goal is to place a laptop computer into the hands of every new undergraduate student coming to George Fox University.
2004 to Present: George Fox University, Adjunct Faculty, School of Management
In this position I teach the Information Systems class (BUSN380). Class sizes have ranged from 26 to 30 students over the past several semesters I have been teaching. I utilize a variety of learning modalities to introduce the students to concepts of enterprise level information systems and business strategies for efficient and accountable deployment of technology in the corporate to small business environment.
1995 to 2000: EPSON Portland, Inc., Assistant Manager, Facilities Department
I managed a team of up to eight technicians across 3 shifts. I was responsible for a budget over 1 million dollars. I worked as a liaison between the MIS department and the Facilities department. I collaborated with the Engineering department to design and implement control systems for the entire manufacturing and warehouse system including robotics programming and a unique graphics interface that allowed monitoring the conveyor system from any networked location.
