Updating Norton Antivirus

Notice for Macintosh users: your GFU installation of Norton antivirus was pre-configured to automatically update itself each week. If you have reason to believe this is not happening please contact the Service Desk.

To update your virus definitions, first, go online. Next, double click on the yellow shield icon on the bottom right of your start bar near the clock. This brings up the program's main window. Here, simply click the 'LiveUpdate' button and click on the button labled 'Next' to begin the automated process.

Note: For employees on the campus-wide system, the LiveUpdate button is greyed out - the program automatically downloads updates.
