Exchange Setup Instructions

Exchange Setup Instructions

  1. Go to Control Panel->Mail->E-mail Accounts
  2. Select "Add a new e-mail account" and then click Next
  3. Select "Microsoft Exchange Server" and then click Next
  4. For the text box "Microsoft Exchange Server:" enter "BRUINMAIL"
    for "User Name:" enter "(Your foxmail user name)"
    Click "Check Name," if successful your full name will be shown, click Next
  5. You will see a message telling you that by default, all incoming mail will be delivered to your Personal Folders. This means that all messages will be downloaded to your computer and that they will not stay on the server. Click yes.
  6. But if you wish your mail to stay on the server, and not downloaded to your computer, go back to Control Panel->Mail->E-mail Accounts before opening Outlook.
  7. Select "View or change existing e-mail accounts"
  8. Select the "Microsoft Exchange Server" account that you just created.
  9. On the bottom of the page where it says "Deliver new e-mail to the following location:" change it to "Mailbox - (your name)"
  10. Click Finish
