George Fox University offers a special series of activities and presentations specifically for families and guests. We encourage you to attend as much of Family Orientation as possible in order to help support your student as well as yourself in this time of transition.

Community Fair - QuadSee what Newberg has to offer. There will be representation from banks and other businesses in the area. |

Multi-Cultural ReceptionJoin underrepresented students and alumni for a special reception. |

Welcome Dinner - Klages Dining HallMeal is free for incoming students. There is a $5 fee for families and guests. Children under 4 eat for free. |
6 – 7 p.m. |
Official Welcome to the Community - GymnasiumJoin the president, ASC president, University Worship Band, the orientation staff and others for your official welcome to George Fox University |
7 – 8 p.m. |
Parent Orientation - Bauman AuditoriumHear from the parent relations office about what it means to be a George |
8 – 9 p.m. |
Parent Reception - Stevens Center AtriumEnjoy a dessert reception with the school administration, faculty, staff and other parents. RSVP online. |

Late Night at Newberg Fred MeyerExclusively for GFU students, Fred Meyer has opened its doors for you. Save some money and stick around for free grub, giveaways and live music. |

Be Known Intellectually While at Fox - Bauman AuditoriumHear from Provost Patrick Allen and learn what it means to “Be Known Intellectually” while at Fox. |

Parent Session - Bauman AuditoriumWhile students attend their first official class at George Fox, come hear from other parents about their experience as a George Fox parent. |

Department Open House/Library ToursVisit with the faculty and staff of your future GFU academic department, take a tour of the Library. |

Prayer Dedication Service - Centenneial Clocktower LawnFamilies and students are invited to gather together for a prayer dedication service led by campus pastor Sarah Baldwin. Afterwards, families say goodbye to their students. |
