Accreditation
The school is regionally accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities and is approved by the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists as meeting the educational requirements for licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Marital and Family Therapist. The school counseling and school psychology programs have been approved by the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) of the state of Oregon.
The core of the counseling program is based upon the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) guidelines for master's degree programs in counseling and the core of the marriage and family therapy program is based on the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) guidelines for master's degree programs in marriage and family therapy.
George Fox University
George Fox University is a Christian university of the arts, sciences, and professional studies. It was established in Newberg, Ore., in 1891, and has graduate facilities in Newberg, Portland, Salem, and Boise. The university is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities and does not discriminate in its educational programs or activities, including employment, on the basis of age, sex, handicap/disability, race, color, national or ethnic origin, or other statuses protected by applicable nondiscrimination laws.
