Tiffin, Gary

Gerald TiffinGary Tiffin joined the EDFL faculty in Fall, 2006 as a part-time instructor in the area of history of education. Prior to his teaching at Fox, he served three Christian Universities for 37 years, including chief academic officer at Hope International University (16 years) and Northwest Christian College (3 years). During those years, he was a Professor of History and Social Science, always teaching World Civilization to college freshman, among other social science courses. Prior to his 26 year tenure at Hope, he taught at San Jose Christian College (now William Jessup University) for seven years. He has also been involved in educational institutions in The Ukraine and Cambodia. From 2001-2006, he served as Administrator of Turner Retirement Homes, a Christian community of 200 in Turner, Oregon. He and his wife Pat built their retirement home there in 2004 where they continue to reside and from where Gary commutes to teach at Fox.
