The Educational Foundations and Leadership department is dedicated to preparing education professionals for service and leadership in both K-12 private and public schools and in higher education by developing professional competence and character within a framework of Christian faith and values.

The EDFL department offers two graduate degrees and several endorsement or licensure programs approved by the Oregon Teachers and Standards Practices Commission (TSPC). EDFL programs are staffed by excellent faculty with both academic and professional expertise in their specific areas and offers flexible classes at multiple locations, with summer class schedules as well as online, evening and Saturday courses.

George Fox School of Education Adopts TaskStream

We are excited to share with you a program tool that students and faculty will have the opportunity to use throughout the course of their teacher education programs. The School of Education at GFU has adopted TaskStream, an e-portfolio system, that will be utilized during each term of a student's program.

Continuous enrollment in TaskStream is now a program requirement for all School of Education students at George Fox University, beginning with new students summer term 2009.
