Rebekah Hanson, violist and violinist, holds a doctorate of musical arts and a masters of music from the University of Oregon. She graduated in 2010 with her doctorate in performance and string pedagogy with an emphasis in musicology. 

Rebekah has been at George Fox University since 2012 and teaches applied violin and viola lessons, music history, and directs the University Symphony and chamber music ensembles.

Rebekah is a certified Suzuki teacher for both violin and viola and has been teaching in a private studio in Newberg for over 10 years. Her students (both University and private studio) have won awards, including the George Fox University Concerto Competition, Suzuki Association of the Americas Young Artist Orchestra, Oregon All-State Orchestra, and Concertmaster of the University of Oregon Symphony. In addition to teaching, Rebekah loves playing chamber music and writing and recording music with her band, The Cabin Project.
