Taking the step to visit a new school can be an exciting time; it can also be intimidating. During my senior year of high school, I was overwhelmed with all the different visit options. Fox offers a variety of visits for every student’s circumstance and resources. We have several options to help get you connected and familiar with the George Fox community!

Bruin Preview

Choosing the university that is your best match is commonly a big stressor for students. Bruin Preview is the best of the best visit experiences. It is similar to Friday @ Fox in that it allows you to choose your own adventure! Whether that be attending current student panels, sitting in on classes in your possible major, or participating in a student activity event, you can choose the experiences that matter most to you.

You’ll enjoy a meal in Canyon Commons, attend exclusive sessions, and even walk away from the day with a George Fox T-shirt. Attend open houses to learn about the programs and meet your future professors. This is our best visit opportunity and is perfect if you are trying to decide what school to attend!

Friday @ Fox

Coming to campus for a Friday @ Fox addition, you can attend department showcases and open an excellent opportunity to experience a day in the life of a Bruin, especially if you are unable to attend Bruin Preview. This visit option allows you to pick and choose what activities and events you want to attend. From a student-led campus tour, attending classes that revolve around your interests, to eating lunch at Canyon Commons, you get to experience college life firsthand.

While on campus you can connect with financial aid and admissions counselors to learn your next steps. If you're not sure what major to pick, attending different academic department open houses in person can help you narrow it down. This is an ideal opportunity for any student interested in applying!

Individual Tour

Walking around campus is a great way to gather more information about our academic and spiritual life. While on tour you’ll hear stories of what it’s like to Be Known as a Bruin. You’ll also be exposed to the different majors and programs available to our students. This is a great opportunity if you are seeking more information about academics and the admissions process in general.

Our admissions counselors are available to our visitors after the tour. This gives you one-on-one time to get your questions answered. Individual visits are best for families that may be on a time crunch and are looking for a shorter visit option.

Virtual Tours

Traveling can be inconvenient, so we offer virtual tours to fit your schedule and needs. Our virtual tour guides are also able to hear and see you during our tours, which allows you to connect! Through these tours, you gain better insight into our campus life and academics. This is a great option if you live out of state.

Virtual Information Sessions

Virtual sessions are a convenient opportunity to learn more about George Fox and the community. Join us for a live session or watch a recorded session. These topics cover sessions on study abroad opportunities, university recreation, intercultural life and the honors program.

If you are a deposited student, we have informative sessions to help you prepare for life at Fox. Join us for a University Housing session and learn more about the housing selection process. Or join us for the Next Steps Financial Aid Webinars to understand the breakdown of your financial aid package.
