Introduction

Athletic Training - George Fox UniversityWe appreciate your interest in the Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP) at George Fox University. We have three BOC-certified athletic trainers on staff working as classroom and clinical instructors.

The Commission on the Accreditation of Athletic Training Education Programs (CAATE) accredits our athletic-training program.

Currently, athletic training is a concentration under the major of health and human performance. That is, students earn a B.S. degree in human performance with a concentration in athletic training.

The ATEP prepares the graduate for a career as an athletic trainer. Upon completion of the program, all athletic training graduates must take and successfully pass the Board of Certification Examination to become a BOC-certified athletic trainer.

Our graduates are found in a variety of work environments, which include elementary and secondary schools, colleges, health clubs, corporate fitness settings, and rehabilitation clinics. In addition, some of our graduates have elected to obtain advanced degrees in several disciplines related to exercise science and athletic training.

Prospective students can get info about our athletic training major on our undergraduate admissions site.
