Caps and Gowns:
Academic regalia has been ordered by the George Fox University Registrar’s office for all graduates. If you have submitted an Application for Degree (the form with weight and height), your cap and gown will automatically be ordered. Regalia will be delivered to the Boise Center, and you will be notified to pick it up. MBA and MAT graduates will receive instructions on their regalia and hooding the morning of commencement. The hooding will be included as part of the commencement ceremony.
Location:
Boise State University’s Jordan Ballroom, located on the second level of the Student Union Building (SUB). Address map is HERE. Student Union Building map is HERE.
Arrival Time:
Graduates need to be in the Bishop Barnwell room, located down the hall from the ball room, by 9 a.m. for cohort pictures and processional instructions.
Parking: FREE PARKING is available in the Lincoln parking garage only, which is located across from the Student Union Building. The main entrance is located off Belmont Street. All spaces in the garage are reserved for the event). You do not need to pay for parking in this garage and will not be ticketed.
Pictures:
We are pleased to announce that we have hired Jolesch Photography to be our commencement photographers. Students do not need to preorder or request photos before the ceremony. During the ceremony, Jolesch Photography will take a picture of every student and then notify graduates when photos are ready for online viewing. Please click here for more information.
Guests:
There is no limit on the number of guests a graduate may invite. However, if you have more than 15 guests planning to attend, please contact Joy Reimann jreimann@georgefox.edu at the Boise Center or call 208-375-3900.
To maintain the formality of this event, and as a courtesy to the graduates and their families, guests bringing younger children are asked to prepare appropriately. If children become agitated or disruptive they should be taken outside the ballroom.
Videos:
The ceremony will not be videotaped. However, families and friends of the graduates are invited to take their own videos.
Announcements:
Graduation announcements may be purchased directly through the Jostens website or by calling 800-854-7464. Announcements take two to three weeks for delivery once they are ordered. If you have any questions, please contact Jostens for assistance.
