Prospective Students - Online High School Students

Does George Fox accept online high school diplomas?

As long as the online high school you're attending is accredited through the U.S. Department of Education or regionally, your diploma will be accepted and viewed by our admissions office the same way as a diploma from a brick-and-mortar high school. If you're not sure about an online school's accreditation, ask them directly or contact us.

You'll want to take a well-rounded course load with a variety of classes in the humanities, sciences, social studies and math. Work with your advisors to be sure that you're completing all the work required and taking the right classes. We recommend taking the ACT or the SAT the first time your junior year or early senior year so that you can retake them later your senior year if you need to.

Visit Campus

Visit as many college campuses as you can. The campus visit is the single most influential factor in deciding where to attend college. If it feels right, it just might be. There are lots of ways to visit a college:

Ask Questions

Take these questions with you as you visit different colleges.

  • What size should my classes be my freshman year? After my freshman year?
  • How much is the average financial aid package offer? How much of that average is covered by loans?
  • What are the average high school GPA and SAT scores for an incoming freshman?
  • Are there any rules or guidelines unique to your college?
  • Who should I call when I have more questions?

Keep Grades Up

Your cumulative GPA will help you earn academic scholarships. What you do now matters.
