School districts highly value teachers who have specialist endorsements on their licenses. We have created a program for teacher candidates to reach this goal during their Initial Teacher Licensure preparation.
MAT Plus offers specialist endorsements in:
- English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
- Special Education
- Online Teaching Endorsement (Boise only)
Eleven additional semester credit hours are completed online during the MAT for ESOL and Reading specialist endorsements. The 19 credits for the Special Ed endorsement are offered in a variety of formats (not all online).
You can take our classes in Portland, Newberg and Redmond, Oregon. Learn more details about endorsements that can be added to our teaching degrees, request more information, and then join us. We'd love to walk with you on the journey of becoming a teacher.
"Plus" ESOL, Reading and some Special Education courses are delivered in an interactive online format using standard web-based tools. George Fox faculty make every effort to make the online experience personal, interactive, flexible and convenient.
